The 2014 Syrah la Paciencia Vineyard was also vinified in concrete and aged in neutral barrels. Its deep ruby/mostly opaque color is followed by a deep, slightly closed bouquet of smoked black fruits, cured meats, black olive and violet/floral aromas and flavors. Like all of the wines here, it’s seamless and elegant on the palate, yet has plenty of authority, depth and length. Drink 2019-2029

Dark medium ruby. Tight nose offers scents of dark raspberry, violet pastille, licorice, flint and pepper. Penetrating, juicy and classically dry, conveying a strong saline character to its tight, pastille-like flavors of blackberry, violet and licorice. The tannins are firm but not hard and the finish displays excellent juicy length and floral lift. This is still a baby. Drink 2020-2027

Refined, if a bit demure, featuring raspberry and smoky peppered beef flavors that finish on an elegant note, with polished tannins. Drink now through 2023. 302 cases made.

This wine starts out quite locked up, with aromas of flowers, plum, dried herb, black pepper and mineral, showing more fruit expression than this area is often known for. The palate is on the lighter side of medium bodied, bringing a sense of elegance, sophistication and freshness.
