What is the sales process like?
This sale is only for buyers in Washington State. In Washington State, a private wine collection can be legally sold to another Washington-based individual or business under what’s called an Accommodation Sale Permit, issued by the Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB).
This process allows collectors, estates, and private owners to transfer their wines to qualified buyers while ensuring compliance with state law and tax reporting. Both the seller and buyer must have a Washington State presence, and all transactions follow formal LCB procedures.
